Job description

A well-established retail and distribution company in the north is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and detail-oriented individual to fill the post of Operations Assistant. The Operations Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the Operations Department.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-

1. Vehicles, Electronic Devices and Equipment:

i. Maintain Fleet Management, Electronic Device and Equipment Databases, utilizing appropriate software.

ii. Responsible for processing of Vehicle, Electronic Device and Equipment Repair Orders, in compliance with established procedures;

iii. Follow up with team members on compliance with company Vehicle and Equipment use policy;

2. Properties:

i. Assist the Operations Manager in development and execution of maintenance schedules for Company Premises.

3. Marketing:

i. Update and maintenance of company social media platforms and web page;

ii. Maintenance of customer database;

iii. Assist in content creation for marketing and promotional purposes;

4. Administration/Information Technology:

i. Conduct minor troubleshooting and maintenance of company IT equipment and electronic devices, liaising with Information Technology service providers where necessary;

ii. Assist Operations Manager in the execution of the inventory control system.

Required qualifications and skills:

1. A minimum of 5 CSEC passes;

2. Tertiary educational level preferred;

4. Excellent interpersonal skills;

5. Intermediate level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite;

6. Customer oriented;

7. Problem-solving skills;

8. Planning and organizational skills;

11. Results-driven;

12. Knowledge of point-of-sale systems would be an asset.

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
