Job summary

AIMS Companies in Houston, TX is hiring Vac Truck Operators (Combo Unit) to join our safety‑driven field team. The role involves operating vac trucks for potholing, trenching, daylighting, and utility locating, while managing high pressure water systems and completing service tickets.

This full‑time, year‑round position requires a Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement, strong communication, and a commitment to safety. Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with Tanker Endorsement.
• Ability to operate required equipment.
• 21+ years old.
• Able to communicate in English (verbal & written).
• Pass pre employment drug screen & background check.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate vac trucks for potholing, trenching, tunneling, daylighting, and utility locating.
• Manage high pressure water systems (up to 3000 PSI).
• Perform vacuum excavation and cleaning tasks safely and efficiently.
• Complete service tickets, paperwork, and digital records.
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures.
• Work as part of a 2 person crew with strong communication.
• Travel to job sites during the week; occasional overnight stays depending on project needs.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions

• Occasional overnight travel depending on project location
