Job summary

Malloy Ford of Alexandria, part of Malloy Auto Group, is seeking a VA State Safety and Emissions Inspector to join our service team in Alexandria, VA. Earn up to $35.00 per hour as a flat rate with a weekly guaranty, plus paid vacation, holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities include performing Virginia State Police inspections per guidelines, flagging repair needs to the Service Manager, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Active VA State Safety and Emissions Inspector License (must maintain).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• ERT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct State Safety and Emissions Inspections in compliance with Virginia State Police, Virginia DEQ, and Malloy Auto Group guidelines
• Flag repair needs or safety concerns to the Service Manager during routine service
• Keep the shop clean and presentable
• Follow all safety procedures, including required protective eyewear, and report concerns to the Service Manager
