Qualifications

We are hiring Certified PCA and HHA Caregivers to work 1:1 patient care with our in-home VA patients in the New Windsor, NY area. We have a variety of hours available and offer benefits, flexible schedules, and weekly pay.

Starting pay rate: $19.00 per hour

The Home and Community Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions for individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notifies the Agency Director immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
  • Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required.
  • May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, transfer of patients, and assistance with toileting.
Experience Desired
  • Six months experience in home care preferred.
  • PCA or HHA certification in the state of NY required.
Skill Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet patient needs.
  • Ability to work in any home situation regardless of demographic factors.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Good multitasking, time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work harmoniously with diverse individuals.
  • Strong commitment to the organization’s goals and adaptability to organizational changes.
