Responsibilities

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions to help individuals remain in their own homes.

• Report observations of the client’s condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seat belt when traveling for work.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair. Assist with bedpan, commode, and toilet use.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred
• PCA or HHA certification in NY required
