AmeriCorps & Senior Corps in Virginia, in partnership with Family Scholar House, places members at nonprofit healthcare facilities to provide supplemental healthcare support and fill service gaps.

The program offers hands-on experience toward healthcare careers, with flexible seasonal start dates, an education award upon completion, a living allowance and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings is a plus.

Job description

Family Scholar House partnered with AmeriCorps to place over 40 members at nonprofit healthcare facilities throughout Virginia. Members will provide supplemental healthcare support to these nonprofit facilities to fill gaps in service. FSH HealthCorps is committed to equipping members with the training and experience they need to continue on the path of becoming a healthcare professional. Members will complete their service ready to enter the workforce or continue in their education. Flexible positions with seasonal start dates are available in a number of roles at one of our health-focused partners
