Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA Disability Benefits C&P General Medicine evaluations at Fort Irwin, CA. You will review Veterans' medical histories, conduct comprehensive exams, and complete DBQs per VA guidelines, documenting objective findings meticulously.

Role requires an active NP/PA license with a collaborating physician where required by state law, strong assessment and reporting skills, and the ability to work independently within

Qualifications

• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as dictated by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Position Summary:

The provider will review Veterans' medical records, conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations, document objective findings, and complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in accordance with VA guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician, where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established clinical protocols.
