Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations and review medical records, ensuring comprehensive DBQs are completed accurately and on time. The role emphasizes documenting findings clearly while adhering to VA guidelines and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifying physicians are board-certified or eligible (MD/DO) with an active license. Flexible scheduling options include full-time, part-time, or PRN, with no on-call requirements and no ongoing patient

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible General Medicine physician (MD/DO).
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience with disability evaluations or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA C&P disability examinations.
• Review veterans' medical records before each evaluation.
• Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
• Accurately complete DBQs and required reports.
• Document findings clearly and within established timelines.
• Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
