Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations, review records, and complete DBQs, without prescribing or ongoing care. The role requires an MD/DO and an active license, with preference for experience in disability evaluations.

Flexible scheduling options include Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN opportunities to fit clinical availability while maintaining high-quality documentation and timely reporting.

Qualifications

Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
Experience with disability evaluations, occupational medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or primary care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations.
Review Veterans' medical records and relevant documentation before each evaluation.
Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
Document findings clearly, objectively, and within established timelines.
Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
