Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a General Medicine physician to perform VA Compensation & Pension disability examinations, review medical records, and complete DBQs. The role requires no prescribing or ongoing patient care.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations, maintain HIPAA compliance, and follow VA guidelines. Board-certified/board-eligible MD/DO with an unrestricted license is preferred. Flexible scheduling options available.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible General Medicine MD/DO.
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience with disability evaluations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA C&P disability examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records before each evaluation.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
• Document findings clearly, objectively, and within established timelines.
• Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
