Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a focused professional to support EV/IN test tool distribution and maintenance within the EVDD organization. You will assemble test environments, configure hardware and software, and ensure timely delivery to internal teams and external partners.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, inventory management, and collaboration across hardware and software teams to accelerate validation cycles in automotive projects.

Qualifications

• Must have functional understanding of automotive electrical wiring and wiring schematics.
• Ability to manage priorities, risks, and issues independently and collaboratively.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare test environments for deployment, including aluminum frame assembly, harness and module installation, software setup, and initial system validation.
• Package, ship, and track the global distribution of test systems to internal Ford teams and external development partners using approved processes and tools.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, update, and repair non-functional tool systems to maintain optimal operational availability.
• Monitor and maintain the virtual service desk while managing component shipments to fabricators for upcoming system builds.
• Maintain the overall inventory, organization, and operational readiness of the tools laboratory.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have):

• Functional understanding of automotive electrical wiring and wiring schematics
• Ability to manage priorities, risks, and issues independently and collaboratively
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Secondary (Good to Have):

• 2+ years of experience in electrical harness design or fabrication
• Prior automotive or IT support experience

POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of the EVDD (Electric Vehicle & Digital Design) organization, this role supports the V&V Operational Support and Hardware Team in preparing, assembling, configuring, inventorying, and distributing developed test tools. Reporting to the Operational Support and Hardware Team Manager, the successful candidate will solve global tool distribution and maintenance challenges for downstream electrical engineering and testing teams to accelerate In-Vehicle Infotainment and next-generation feature validation.
