Position Summary

ProEnergy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to support the startup and commissioning of control systems and instrumentation on large-scale EPC power generation projects.

Location: Field

Travel: 90%

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist mechanical technicians and engineers with installation, alignment, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and controls teams to ensure system readiness and safe energization.
  • Perform installation, calibration, and testing of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and controls teams to ensure system readiness and safe energization.
  • Help prepare and maintain startup documentation, including test records and punch lists.
  • Perform material handling, equipment setup, and general labor tasks to support startup crews.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all site safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • Experience in I&C installation, testing, or commissioning in industrial or power generation environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical equipment operation, electrical equipment maintenance requirements and maintenance restrictions imposed by safety and environmental regulations.
  • Available to work flexible work schedules.
  • Technical competence including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.
  • Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
Additional Functions
  • Previous experience on construction or industrial job sites preferred
  • Ability to read and follow basic instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
  • Physically able to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work in outdoor conditions.
