Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UX (User Experience) Designer based in the United States.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UX Designer to shape engaging, visually compelling digital experiences across responsive web platforms. This is a hands-on opportunity to combine visual design, UX/UI expertise, and digital storytelling to elevate customer-facing marketing, merchandising, and acquisition experiences. You will transform business objectives into intuitive, premium-quality interfaces while bringing fresh creative perspectives to established B2B content. Working within an evolving design system, you will contribute to new visual patterns, reusable components, and sophisticated dark-mode experiences. You will collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure design excellence throughout implementation. This fully remote contract position offers the opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities
  • Design visually engaging, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences for responsive web platforms, including marketing, merchandising, and customer acquisition journeys.

  • Translate business objectives into distinctive digital experiences using strong typography, imagery, composition, color, spacing, visual hierarchy, and interaction design.

  • Develop creative approaches to elevate traditional B2B content and communicate complex products and services effectively.

  • Contribute to the evolution of the digital visual language by creating new layouts, design treatments, reusable patterns, and dark-mode experiences while maintaining brand consistency.

  • Produce high-fidelity, production-ready designs, responsive layouts, and digital assets, including image editing, compositing, and asset preparation using Adobe Photoshop.

  • Build and extend reusable Figma components using variants, component properties, variables, and Auto Layout within an established design system.

  • Partner with developers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure design quality is maintained throughout implementation while balancing usability, accessibility, technical feasibility, and business objectives.

  • Manage design assignments from initial concept through final delivery, incorporate feedback, and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Explore emerging visual design trends, digital experiences, and interaction patterns to introduce fresh creative ideas.

  • Where appropriate, leverage motion design, animation, interactive prototyping, conversion insights, and AI-powered creative tools to improve design exploration and production efficiency.

Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent education and experience.

  • Approximately 0–6 years of relevant design experience, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating practical capabilities and high-quality work.

  • Proven experience designing responsive web experiences for e-commerce, marketing, merchandising, or digital products.

  • Exceptional visual design skills, with a strong understanding of typography, composition, color theory, imagery, spacing, and visual hierarchy.

  • Solid knowledge of UX/UI principles, interaction design, usability, responsive design, and accessibility fundamentals.

  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, variants, component properties, variables, and Auto Layout, with experience extending existing design systems.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, particularly image editing, compositing, and creating production-ready visual assets.

  • Ability to independently manage assignments, solve creative challenges, prioritize competing tasks, and deliver polished work within deadlines.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers and cross-functional teams.

  • A portfolio demonstrating visual excellence, creative thinking, intuitive and accessible user experiences, and the ability to translate sophisticated designs into scalable, component-based systems.

Additional assets that would be advantageous:

  • Experience in art direction, visual storytelling, digital branding, motion design, animation, or interactive prototyping.

  • Background in e-commerce, digital merchandising, customer acquisition, or conversion-focused design.

  • Experience designing dark-mode interfaces or contributing to the development of visual design systems.

  • Familiarity with emerging AI-powered creative tools such as Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Figma AI.
