Job summary

Benchmark Education Company in New Rochelle, NY, seeks a UX/UI Designer to collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to create user-centered educational products from discovery through visual design.

The candidate should have a UX degree, 3+ years of experience, a strong online portfolio, and be a Figma guru. Familiarity with Adobe CC and basic HTML/CSS/JS is a plus; experience in Agile environments with Jira is valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in UX or related field.
Minimum 3 years of UX/UI design experience.
Online portfolio showing UX/UI design and process.
Proficiency with Figma.
Adobe Creative Cloud familiarity is a plus.
Experience designing for teachers/students is a plus.
Strong visual design and layout skills.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with Agile development and Jira.

Responsibilities

Convert content requirements into engaging, interactive educational experiences.
Work within, manage and maintain a Figma-based, component-driven design system.
Translate UX research into information architecture and UI designs.
Collaborate with team and stakeholders to advance design through iteration.
Present work to product owners, management, stakeholders and executives for review.
Maintain and adhere to UI and visual design best practices.
Develop consistent design identity across multiple applications on a platform.
Adhere to accessibility and inclusive design principles.
