Job summary

KellyMitchell Group is seeking a UX/UI Designer for an eight-month contract in Minneapolis, MN. The role covers UX and product design, wireframes, storyboards, and high-fidelity designs, aligned with internal brand and UI standards.

You will contribute from early brainstorming through execution and refinement, collaborating across product managers, developers, and Marketing/Tech teams to craft intuitive interfaces within an established design system.

Qualifications

• Present proposed experiences to a range of partners, product managers, business analysts, delivery managers, developers, and Marketing, Creative, and Technology teams
• Quickly acquire a detailed understanding of project scope & business requirements, as well as technology constraint and incorporate as you create proposed experiences

Job description

Our leading Utilities client is looking for a candidate to execute UX and product design, create wireframes, storyboards as well as high fidelity designs, and adhere to internal brand and UI standards. The UX/UI designer will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance the user experience and should be able to grasp user needs and solve problems. They will be involved in everything from early brainstorming through to execution and refinement.

• Duration: 8 month contract
• Location: Minneapolis, MN

This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Figma — advanced (components, variants, auto-layout, dev-ready specs)
• End-to-end UX/UI design for web and mobile (flows, wireframes, hi-fi UI)
• Working within an established design system
• Accessibility fundamentals / WCAG awareness
• Experience embedded with agile product teams
• Portfolio demonstrating both UX thinking and UI craft
• User-Centered Problem Solving

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $53.00 and $76.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
