Job summary

Clearwater Analytics is seeking a Product UX Design Intern to join our User Experience team. You will design intuitive product experiences for Clearwater Analytics customers and collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to simplify complex workflows.

The internship targets students or recent graduates seeking hands-on enterprise product experience, working on real features used by real clients.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI, Interaction Design, UX, Product, Graphic, Cognitive Science, or related field.
• Portfolio shows problem framing, user needs, IA, multiple concepts, and AI in UX with trust and control.
• Strong familiarity with Figma for visual and interaction design and prototyping.
• Basic understanding of user-centered design, usability, and accessibility best practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting work and reasoning.
• Ability to take direction, respond to feedback, and iterate quickly.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with UX designers to understand goals, user needs, and product requirements.
• Contribute to user flows, wireframes, and high‑fidelity mockups for features.
• Support user research activities (planning, notes, synthesis, artifacts).
• Help create and maintain design system components and documentation for consistency.
• Produce interaction specs and handoff docs for engineers.
• Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback.
• Assist with low- and high‑fidelity prototypes to validate concepts.
• Collaborate with UX writers to ensure clear in‑product copy.
• Conduct competitive analyses to inform design decisions.
• Document what worked and why to foster continuous improvement.
