Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced UX Researcher to understand broad human behaviors and inform product design at a global scale. You will lead mixed-method research across topics, collaborating with design, product, content strategy, engineering and marketing to generate actionable insights.

The role emphasizes end-to-end primary research, strong communication of findings, and influencing strategic decisions. Compensation ranges from $163,000 to $226,000 per year, plus bonus and equity.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in UX research or product research and development, with advanced degree(s)
  • Experience in user experience research across domains including interviews, focus groups, and usability testing
  • Experience coding with R, SQL, STATA, SPSS or equivalent
  • Experience applying statistical analysis methods such as regressions, ANOVA, and t-tests
  • Ability to translate research findings into strategic narratives
  • Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research

Job description

UX Researcher Our UX Research team is designing for the broad spectrum of human needs, which requires us to understand the behaviors of the people behind them. Our researchers tackle some of the most complex challenges to gain insights into how people interact with each other and the world around them, and work collaboratively to contribute new ideas to products that impact the experiences of billions of people on a global scale. We use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to accomplish our goals, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews. We value a wide range of perspectives and stem from many different backgrounds. We're looking for great communicators who are knowledgeable about research devoted to understanding people, and curious about the relationship between technology and society.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. 9. Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research and/or product research and development or a Master's degree and 8+ years relevant experience, or PhD and 5+ years relevant experience
  2. 10. Relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development
  3. 11. Experience conducting In-Depth Interviews or Focus Groups and Concept Testing or Usability Testing
  4. 12. Experience coding with R, SQL, STATA, SPSS or equivalent
  5. 13. Experience applying statistical analysis methods such as Regressions, ANOVA, and T-Tests
  6. 14. Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research
  7. 15. Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 16. Degrees in a human behavior related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information science, Media studies, Computer Science, or Economics

Public Compensation: $163,000/year to $226,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
