Job summary

INSPYR Solutions seeks an Audio UX Researcher to conduct rapid qualitative research for AI glasses and audio-based communication experiences in Reality Labs Research. You will evaluate spatially rendered audio, including localization, externalization, and binaural cues, and translate findings into concrete product guidance.

Onsite in Redmond with some travel in the Greater Seattle Area, you will run interviews, structured observations, and rapid thematic analysis, delivering same-week syntheses

Qualifications

• Audio/visual perception knowledge for UX research.
• Experience conducting rapid qualitative research in tech products.
• Ability to translate perceptual data into actionable product guidance.

Title: Audio UX Researcher / Spatial Audio UX Research
Location: Redmond WA, Onsite, (some travel in the Greater Seattle Area is expected)
Duration: 12 months
Compensation: $45 - $65
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Summary

• Conduct rapid qualitative research for AI glasses and audio-based communication experiences within Reality Labs Research.
• Evaluate how users perceive spatially rendered audio, including localization, externalization, binaural audio, and virtual sound-source placement.
• Run lightweight evaluative sessions, conversational interviews, structured observations, and heuristic walkthroughs.
• Deliver same-week qualitative synthesis to influence prototypes that may change week to week.
• Work directly with engineers, designers, and research scientists to translate perceptual reactions into actionable product guidance.
• Supplement qualitative findings with surveys, descriptive statistics, and other quantitative methods when useful.
