Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a UX Researcher to build deep understanding of users and inform experiences for health insurance members, providers, agents, employer groups, and more.

You will plan and conduct mixed-method studies, partner with UX designers and product teams, map journeys, create personas, and present insights to senior leadership to shape design and strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Experience with a wide variety of research methodologies.
• Proficient with testing tools like UserZoom/UserTesting/Maze; experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in fast-paced agile/SCRUM environment.
• 3+ years of experience in related field; 5+ years if no degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research studies, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and business teams to establish priorities.
• Map user journeys and create UX personas or archetypes to understand target users.
• Present research findings to senior leadership and cross-functional teams to shape design and strategy.
• Coordinate participant recruitment and scheduling for research sessions.
• Maintain a research repository and communicate findings for internal partners.
