Job summary

Stellent IT LLC is seeking a contracted UX Researcher in Foster City, CA, with a 4-days-onsite and 1-day-remote schedule. You will guide design, product, and engineering teams to create tools for a large internal workforce, building personas and devising unified solutions to solve core problems.

The role requires leading cross-functional research activities, selecting diary studies, interviews and workflow analyses, and delivering actionable insights that shape roadmaps and user experiences.

Qualifications

• Lead kick-off meetings with cross-functional teams to uncover root problems and align stakeholders.
• Select appropriate research methods (diary studies, observations, interviews, workflow diagramming) to understand users and company representatives.
• Conduct research to clarify how internal users work, surface unmet needs and pain points, guiding tool development and organizational changes.
• Deliver insights with clear narrative framing to guide immediate changes, team vision, and roadmap decisions.
• Present findings and recommendations to improve user experiences and challenge non-user-centric assumptions.
• Manage expectations and interests of diverse stakeholders with a human-centered approach.

Interview: 2 rounds- 2nd round will be required to do a presentation

As a contracting UX Researcher, you will help guide design, product, and engineering teams in developing a suite of tools that support a large internal workforce. You will play a pivotal role in building personas for internal user groups, ideating on unified solutions, and helping cross-functional partners solve the right problems, not just their symptoms. Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience working with enterprise or internal users
• Experience working with technical users and products

• Experience working on product suites or tools that work together
