Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior UX Researcher for a long-term contract based in Chicago, IL. The role requires local on-site presence as needed to support an application for customers to track fleet health and manage equipment, with ecommerce and mapping features enhancing the product.

The ideal candidate will bring comprehensive UX research experience, a strong portfolio, and proven ability to translate findings into actionable UI improvements.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of UI best practices, UI design and graphic design theory.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to deliver results.
• Experience with UI layout, specification, and prototyping tools.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Portfolio demonstrating your UX process and outcomes.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Job description

Looking for a Senior UX Research to join our client. This role is a long term contract and the resource needs to be local to Chicago, IL to go onsite as needed.

Description

This UXR will be supporting an application for our client to for customers to track their fleet and manage the health of their equipment. They're adding ecommerce features and enhancing spatial/mapping features.

Technical Skills

• i. Empathy Were looking for methods of their organization and synthesis of both stakeholder and user sentiment. How much do they capture from opportunities to empathize, how is it used, do they listen with openness to learn?
• ii. Adaptive Thinking Were looking for ability to quickly pivot with changing requirements and understandings of the product. Are challenges seen as learning opportunities? Do they work with others with an openness to change, but also able to confidently make decisions of their own?

Must possess a thorough understanding of UI best practices, UI design, and essential graphic design theory

Able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Experience and proficiency in UI layout, spec, and prototyping tools

Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines

Portfolio demonstrating your expertise and ability to articulate your process

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
