Job summary

Amazon is seeking a UX Designer for Shopping Design to craft simple, fluid experiences across our product catalog. You will work mobile-first and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver delightful customer journeys on desktop and mobile.

You’ll lead design work, create sketches, wireframes, and prototypes, and translate data and user insights into scalable patterns that improve the shopping experience for millions of customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience.
• Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design across desktop and mobile.
• Bachelor's degree or above in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions for difficult design and technical problems where product strategy is not fully defined.
• Create conceptual sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes.
• Collaborate effectively across diverse teams and disciplines to drive alignment and efficiency.

• Lead brainstorming sessions and present at cross-team reviews to drive design decisions.

• Balance short- and long-term design requirements against engineering constraints.

A day in the life

As a UX Designer for Shopping Design, you will be a hands-on designer unafraid to take on the toughest challenges, scales their impact with proactive collaboration with other designers, and elevate the design quality of the entire team. You will develop strong relationships with fellow designers and partner closely with product, engineering, and business counterparts throughout the organization to launch bar-raising experiences for customers around the world. You have a passion for solving our customers' problems, always putting their needs first.

About the team

You'll join the Shopping Design team at Amazon—a group of designers, technologists, program and product managers who design the global Amazon shopping experience for customers. We own the end-to-end shopping experience, and design the features that make it easy for customers to discover, evaluate, and transact on Amazon. We enable 300+ shopping designers outside of our organization and thousands of tech resources with design patterns, systems, tools, customer insights, and best practices to design a cohesive and delightful shopping CX. Our mission is to design magical shopping experiences that customers use daily and love.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
• Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
• Bachelor's degree or above in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or Master's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
• Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
