Job description

UX Designer

Los Angeles, CA

Role overview

The PlayStation Partners Platform combines digital tools that help game creators publish, market, and optimize their games. Our mission is to make the platform the best place for creators and internal teams to publish and manage games. As a UX Designer you will contribute to the evolution of this partner platform, working closely with product, engineering, and business teams to refine design standards and deliver user‑centric solutions for both external publishers and internal stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing
  • Gain a deep understanding of the PlayStation brand and services.

  • Work collaboratively in a cross‑disciplinary product team, improving both minor and substantial advancements across Enterprise, SaaS, and B2B tool programs.

    • Craft exceptional design solutions from early conceptual stages through to product releases, demonstrating skills in IA, navigation, and user flows.

    • Develop clear user communication through navigation, layout, and language.

    • Build intuitive, user‑friendly interfaces with high‑quality component selection.

    • Prioritize accessibility needs and other user‑centric considerations.

  • Collaborate transparently using sketches, service blueprints, user flows, and Figma prototypes.

  • Work closely with developers to iterate design solutions, balancing technical feasibility and product quality.

  • Seek and act on design feedback from users, product managers, and other collaborators.

  • Advocate for a user‑centric, evidence‑led approach that delivers the best design quality.

  • Share and present your designs with collaborators and colleagues, clearly explaining user needs and design rationale.

  • Support and collaborate with UX design colleagues on ambitious, team‑led initiatives.

Who we’re looking for

You are an experienced UX designer with a proven portfolio of business‑focused tools and a drive to understand sophisticated systems. You solve design problems through exploration, communication, and collaboration. You see beyond requirements to core user needs and articulate your decisions clearly. You analyze problems from both a macro and micro perspective, crafting cohesive tools that belong to the same family. You act as a mediator among cross‑functional partners, balancing product requirements, design solutions, and technical limitations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of commercial experience as a UX or digital product designer, focused on Enterprise/B2B software products.
  • Proven track record of working through discovery, prioritization, production, and launch.
  • Strong core UX crafting skills, including IA, user flows, screen layouts, and UI components. Experience with design systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of common web design patterns, standards, and industry guidelines.
  • Experience collaborating with software product teams, developers, product managers, user researchers, and business stakeholders.
  • Some experience in Service Design or mapping large/complex user journeys.
  • Involvement in user research and usability testing, using results to iterate design solutions.
  • Experience creating low‑fidelity sketches and wireframes in collaboration with others.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present design work confidently and clearly.
  • Strong soft skills; able to explain a user‑centric design approach to technical and business audiences.
  • A portfolio or presentation showcasing your work and design process.
