Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, seeks a mid-level UX Designer to join the Brand & Digital Design team and help improve how customers learn about Vivint, explore products, and build and purchase smart home systems.

You’ll own defined projects from discovery through handoff, translating customer needs and business goals into clear user flows and polished interfaces. A strong portfolio and 2+ years’ experience, plus Figma proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and final solutions.
• At least 2 years of UX/UI design experience in various settings.
• Proficiency in Figma with auto layout, components, variants, prototyping.
• Proficiency with AI tools to explore concepts and prototypes.
• Understanding of user-centered design, responsive behavior, and accessibility.
• Strong visual design skills with typography and layout.
• Collaborative, able to explain design decisions and work with stakeholders.
• Good organization, time management, and communication.
• Degree in UX/related field or equivalent experience.
• No professional certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Design responsive experiences for Vivint’s marketing website and ecommerce journeys.
• Translate needs into user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes.
• Identify usability issues via feedback, usability testing, analytics, and collaboration.
• Design clear navigation, content hierarchy, interactions, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with the Senior UX Designer, marketing stakeholders, copywriters, and developers.
• Use Vivint’s design system and contribute reusable components.
• Present decisions clearly and communicate progress, tradeoffs, dependencies.
• Prepare organized Figma files and developer-ready specifications.
• Manage defined projects with guidance from design leadership.
