Job summary

Synechron in Dallas is seeking an experienced UX Designer/Developer to shape intuitive, accessible digital products. You will lead discovery through delivery, collaborate with product, engineering and business stakeholders in an agile environment.

You will craft user research, wireframes, visual designs and interactive prototypes using Figma, build design systems, and participate in design handoffs while advocating for accessibility and inclusive design across the product lifecycle.

We are seeking an experienced UX Designer/Developer to help design and deliver intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital products. This role combines human-centered design, user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and design-to-engineering collaboration.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands‑on designer who can lead the design process from discovery through delivery, translate complex user needs into effective product experiences, and work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders in an agile environment.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $100K - $120K & benefits (see below).

The Role
Responsibilities:
  • Lead user-centered design initiatives across the product lifecycle, from research and discovery to implementation and iteration.
  • Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, interviews, surveys, and other qualitative and quantitative research activities.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights, personas, journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and product requirements.
  • Create high-quality interaction designs, visual designs, responsive layouts, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
  • Develop and maintain component-based design systems, including reusable patterns, documentation, design tokens, and interaction guidelines.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and other designers to define product requirements and deliver cohesive user experiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design‑to‑development handoffs, ensuring designs are feasible, consistent, and implemented accurately.
  • Participate in design critiques, agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and iterative product development.
  • Use AI‑assisted design and productivity tools—including Figma AI, FigJam AI, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms—to accelerate research, ideation, documentation, and design workflows.
  • Advocate for accessibility, usability, consistency, and inclusive design throughout the product development process.
  • Review implemented experiences, identify gaps, and work with engineering to refine the final product.
  • Contribute to front‑end or interface implementation as needed, depending on project requirements and technical experience.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in UX design, product design, user research, usability testing, and digital product design.

  • Advanced proficiency with Figma, including prototyping, design systems, collaborative workflows, and design documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead user research, synthesize findings, and translate insights into practical design solutions and product requirements.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering with product management, engineering, business, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Experience creating and maintaining component‑based design systems.
  • Experience with design‑to‑engineering handoffs, implementation reviews, and supporting design quality through development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of usability principles, interaction patterns, responsive design, accessibility, and user‑centered design methodologies.
Preferred skills:
  • Experience designing financial software, dashboards, analytics products, or other complex data‑heavy interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Storybook, Figma Dev Mode, or similar design and development collaboration tools.
  • Experience working at a startup, technology company, or in a fast‑paced agile environment.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
