Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Designer to refine and elevate its existing product interfaces for learners, instructors, and admins, focusing on usability, visual quality, and accessibility.

The role involves crafting interaction patterns for AI moments, planning usability tests, and collaborating with engineers, ML practitioners, and educators to align UI with learning goals and model capabilities. A strong UX/visual design portfolio and Figma proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years as a UC/Product Designer or equivalent UX designer role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/visual design skills and impact.
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and educators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Refine and elevate product interfaces for learners, instructors, and admins to improve usability and accessibility.
• Design interaction patterns for AI moments, including tutoring, hints, feedback, progress tracking, and model-uncertainty handling.
• Plan and run usability testing and translate findings into design improvements.

Looking for a Designer to refine and elevate the existing product.

Polish and improve the current interfaces for learners, instructors, and admins, raising the bar on usability, visual quality, and accessibility.

Craft interaction patterns for AI moments: conversational tutoring, hints, feedback, progress tracking, and handling uncertain model responses.

Plan and run usability testing (moderated sessions, A/B tests, accessibility audits) and turn findings into design improvements.

Write and execute UI test cases, verify designs across devices/browsers, and log and triage issues with engineering.

Collaborate with engineers, ML practitioners, and educators to align the interface with learning goals and model capabilities.

Required: a strong UX/visual design portfolio and proficiency with design tools such as Figma.

Required: experience with usability testing and a structured approach to QA, bug reporting, and accessibility (WCAG).

Required: clear communication and the ability to advocate for users to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have: experience with AI/LLM or conversational products, an edtech background, and front-end basics (HTML/CSS, React).
