Job description

Verily is a data platform and technology company built to power AI-enabled precision health solutions. It transforms multimodal health data into insights, models, and actions that make healthcare more personalized, predictive, and precise, working across technology, data science, and healthcare.

The role

This position sits within the Verily Me team, which builds a consumer health application that reimagines how individuals access care, understand their health, and receive personalized recommendations from registered clinicians. You would join the Participant UX team alongside designers, researchers, behavioral scientists, and content strategists, collaborating closely with product managers, software engineers, data scientists, and clinicians. The role covers the end-to-end design process across a mix of projects, from early discovery through to detailed execution.

What you would do
  • Design and iterate on consumer-oriented features that simplify complex health data, drive behavior change, and encourage user engagement.
  • Turn user research and analytics into scalable design frameworks and service blueprints that evolve the core product and create a feedback loop between program insights and the platform.
  • Lead work streams within projects, translating clinical and technical requirements into intuitive interfaces using your own judgment.
  • Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and clinicians to align on project execution and ensure high-quality implementation.
What they are looking for
  • An outstanding portfolio showing work across the full design process, from conceptual foundations to refined details.
  • A bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field, plus 3 or more years of professional UX experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently to define strategy and solutions for a product or feature, bridging user needs with requirements for a cohesive end-to-end experience.
  • Proficiency in Figma and a solid understanding of designing accessible, responsive web and mobile applications.
  • Preferred: expertise in consumer UI or product design, particularly building scalable design systems and data-heavy interfaces.
  • Preferred: experience with AI prototyping tools such as Claude or Cursor.
  • Preferred: background in service design or behavioral science, with a focus on healthcare program design or clinical research.
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare, medical services, or bringing complex regulated consumer products to market.
  • Preferred: strong interpersonal skills and a track record of communicating technical processes and objectives clearly to stakeholders.
  • Applicants must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
Working arrangements

The role is hybrid, based at the San Bruno, CA office (999 Bayhill). It is a full-time position.
