About The Role
The role sits at the intersection of product strategy, interaction design, and user research - owning how complex workflows translate into interfaces that feel obvious to real users. The scope covers a B2B SaaS platform with dense, data-heavy screens where usability is a competitive moat, not a nice-to-have.
This is a hands‑on design role: the person hired will run discovery sessions, ship production‑ready design specs, and validate decisions through usability testing. Expect close daily collaboration with product managers and frontend engineers, not design work done in isolation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end design for major feature areas: discovery, wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups in Figma, and annotated specs for engineering handoff
- Plan and run moderated usability studies and user interviews (5-8 participants per round), synthesizing findings into prioritized, actionable recommendations
- Design and iterate on the shared design system - components, tokens, and patterns - ensuring consistency across web and mobile‑responsive surfaces
- Partner with product managers to frame problems, define success metrics, and pressure‑test scope before engineering work begins
- Conduct rapid usability testing on prototypes (Figma, Maze) to validate flows before build, and run post‑launch evaluations on shipped work
- Analyze behavioral data (Amplitude, Hotjar, session replays) to identify friction points and inform the design roadmap
- Present design rationale to cross‑functional stakeholders and leadership, defending decisions with evidence from research and testing
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of professional UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating shipped work on complex, data‑dense B2B or productivity products
- Expert‑level Figma skills, including component libraries, auto‑layout, and collaborative prototyping
- Demonstrated experience planning and conducting both qualitative research (interviews, usability tests) and quantitative analysis (surveys, funnel data)
- Strong grasp of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and responsive web design principles
- Experience working with design systems - contributing to or maintaining a shared component library
- BA/BS in HCI, Interaction Design, Psychology, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with front‑end fundamentals (HTML/CSS fluency), motion design, or building design tokens in a multi‑platform environment
