Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a UX Design Intern to learn fundamentals, receive mentorship, and build a portfolio through hands-on projects. You’ll collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape how users interact with our enterprise applications.

Ideal candidates are enrolled or within a year of graduation, possess a UX portfolio, and understand user-centered design along with HTML/CSS/JavaScript basics.

Qualifications

• This role requires a portfolio of UX or design work.
• Currently enrolled or within one year of graduation from an accredited college/university.
• Temple-worthy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
• Knowledge of user-centered design, UI/UX principles, and interaction design.
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive design.
• Strong communication and independent task management.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype front-end web experiences using user-centered principles.
• Translate insights into high-quality, intuitive designs via iterative feedback.
• Create mockups and wireframes with modern design tools.
• Ensure materials align with Church branding and visual standards.
• Apply typography, layout, and iconography fundamentals across designs.
• Collaborate in agile teams with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Support product launches with training materials and communications.
• Join design critiques and brainstorming to improve outcomes.
• Conduct basic user research such as interviews and usability feedback.
• Work with state-of-the-art technologies on enterprise solutions.
• Receive mentorship from experienced UX and IT professionals.
• Contribute to a creative, spiritual, and motivated team.
