V2X, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Controller to direct and monitor maintenance actions to keep aircraft and components serviceable at Patuxent River, MD.

The role requires deep knowledge of Navy instructions and NALCOMIS OOMA, with responsibilities to release Safe for Flight and manage maintenance priorities within the NTWL program. The position targets individuals with four years in aircraft maintenance, two years in a collateral duty role, and at least one year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Four years experience of aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, modification, and flight-line operations.
• Two years qualified as a Collateral Duty Inspector or Quality Assurance representative.
• One year acting in a supervisory or team lead role.

Responsibilities

• Process VIDS/MAF forms per OPNAVINST 4790.2 and company instructions.
• Screen VIDS/MAFs for correctness; maintain Aircraft Discrepancy Book (ADB).
• Assist in scheduling aircraft into maintenance to maximize availability and release aircraft Safe for Flight.
• Coordinate daily flight schedule and configuration requirements with duty/work centers.
• Screen daily inspections and hi-time requirements to keep aircraft current for flight schedule.
• Liaise with base personnel for fuel and support equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks to accomplish the flight schedule.
• Must be customer oriented.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Controller directs, coordinates and monitors all maintenance/material actions necessary to retain or restore aircraft, material, equipment or components to a serviceable condition with a minimum expenditure of resources in the most efficient practical manner. The Maintenance Controller shall have an in-depth working knowledge of the CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) and NALCOMIS OOMA. The Maintenance Controller will Release Aircraft Safe for Flight, monitor maintenance SCIR documentation via the NALCOMIS system, review Aircraft Weight and Balance forms for accuracy, direct scheduled/unscheduled maintenance actions to meet operational tasking identified by the flight schedule, request cannibalization authorization when required, assign workload priorities, manage awaiting maintenance and material status, manage T/M/S Aircraft configuration, monitor high time components, establish supply priorities, and coordinate work center maintenance tasking to meet daily Flight Schedule and Ground Test Requirements. This position is located in Patuxent River, MD on the Naval Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL) Program.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process Visual Information Display System/Maintenance Action Forms (VIDS/MAF) from aircrew or maintenance technicians in accordance with OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series, Navy, and Company Instructions.


• Screen completed VIDS/MAFs for correct entries and data. Maintain Aircraft Discrepancy Book (ADB) in accordance with OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series.


• When qualified and assigned by the Maintenance Control Supervisor, assist in scheduling aircraft into the maintenance program to ensure maximum availability of assets, become designated to release all TMS aircraft "Safe for Flight".


• Coordinate the daily flight schedule and configuration requirements with duty and applicable work centers.


• Coordinate and screen Daily/Turnaround and special inspections as well as component and hi-time requirements to ensure aircraft are current for the flight schedule.


• Liaison with base personnel for other requirements to include but not limited to fuel, and support equipment.


• Will be required to coordinate maintenance tasks, to accomplish the flight schedule.


• Must be customer oriented.


• This classification activity is usually accomplished in a hangar/shop/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities.


• The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, snow, ice, etc.


• Perform all other required duties as applicable and assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Four years experience of aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, modification, and flight-line operations.


• Two years qualified as a Collateral Duty Inspector, Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative or Quality Assurance Representative.


• One year acting in a supervisory or team lead role.


• High School diploma or equivalent.


• Knowledge of Safe working techniques and procedures.


• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level security clearance.


• Must be able to work all shifts & schedules.


• Must have Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:

• knowledgeable of technical directives, NAMP programs, and shall be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures. Maintenance Controller shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy, and exhibit leadership and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.


• Thorough working knowledge of aircraft maintenance records.


• Ability to operate two-way communication equipment and speak in a clear and concise manner.


• Ability to schedule and track aircraft maintenance including inspections, preservations, oil sampling.


• Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
