Position Information
The department is taking part in two exciting research studies - the All of Us Research Program and the first All of Us ancillary study, Nutrition for Precision Health (NPH). All of Us is a unique research program funded by the NIH to build one of the most comprehensive health databases in history with a goal of recruiting at least one million participants from across the country. A subset of All of Us participants will also be recruited into Nutrition for Precision Health, powered by the All of Us Research Program with the study goal of developing algorithms that predict individual responses to food and dietary patterns. The department is one of six clinical centers across the country that will recruit a cohort of adults from rural and urban communities and implement the All of Us and NPH study protocols with the aim of studying variability in physiologic responses to diet. The UNC-CC includes two data collection locations, one in Chapel Hill and one at the UNC Nutrition Research Institute in Kannapolis.
Specific tasks include processing (spinning/aliquoting) blood, urine, and saliva samples and processing other specimens. This can be manually intensive and requires someone who is very organized and detail-oriented.
