Job summary

TCI Transportation in Commerce, CA is seeking a Shop Porter to support our used truck sales team. You will inspect vehicles, help with parts, install bolt-on accessories, and keep the yard organized to ensure smooth operations.

This full-time position requires a valid driver’s license, basic mechanical knowledge, and a customer-focused attitude. We offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, and a team-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurability.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical background.
• Ability to work independently.
• Customer service skills, organizational skills and a positive attitude are required.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to transport equipment.
• Work the required schedule and work at the specific location required.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Distribute licensing.
• Installing bolt on accessories.
• Picking up parts from various vendors.
• Washing vehicles.
• Assist with checking in parts from our various vendors.
• Assist shop as needed.
• Prepping equipment for final sales.
• Assist Sales Representative as needed.
• Assisting Sales Representative to take pictures.
• Moving equipment on the yard.
• Refurbishing equipment as needed.
• Removing decals as needed.
• Labeling equipment as needed.

Shift: Monday through Friday:8:00am to 5pm

Pay Range:$18 to $25 Depending on Skill and Experience

Job Duties:
