Job summary

TCI Transportation in Fontana, CA is hiring a Rental Service Porter to support busy shop operations. You'll assist the rental department and parts counter, pick up and deliver parts, and handle duties around shop and yard.

Shift is Monday–Friday 7am to 5pm with pay between $19 and $21 hourly, depending on skills and experience. A valid driver's license is required; forklift experience is a plus; HS diploma; ability to work independently and provide good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to the vehicles.
• Assist in entering data in computer database.
• Distribute licensing.
• Fueling and washing vehicles.
• Timely delivery of parts to customers.
• Assist with checking in parts from vendors.
• Stock parts in correct locations in the parts room/warehouse.
• Fuel island inspection.
• Facility maintenance and sanitation.
• Daily rentals check in/out.

We are Hiring a Rental Service Porter to assist with multiple duties in our busy shop.

You will be helping the rental department as well as the parts counter picking up and delivering parts. You will also be responsible for other duties around the shop and yard.

Shift: Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm

Pay: $19 to $21 depending on skills and experience

Job Duties:

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found

• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required

• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles

• Assist in entering data in computer database

• Distribute licensing

• Fueling and washing vehicles

• Timely Delivery of parts to our various customers

• Assist with checking in parts from our various vendors

• Stocking parts in the correct location in our parts room and warehouse

• Fuel island inspection

• Facility maintenance and sanitation

• Daily rentals check in/out

TCI Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
