Role Responsibilities

• Apply clinical criteria and managed care requirements to secure authorization for inpatient and outpatient services, advocating on behalf of patients.
• Report authorization and denial information to relevant resources.
• Coordinate with the Director of Nursing to ensure documentation meets requirements.
• Interface with managed care organizations, external reviews, and payers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in utilization review within psychiatric healthcare is preferred.
• Unencumbered clinical license strongly preferred.
• CPR certification and CPI training are preferred; flexible hours and overtime may be required.
