Cottonwood Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an experienced Utilization Review Specialist in Olathe, KS. You will review admissions and ongoing stays, analyze records, and collaborate with payers to ensure appropriate care levels.

Responsibilities include advocating for patients with behavioral health needs and guiding discharge planning in coordination with the treatment team. Strong emphasis on licensure and certifications.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Experience in utilization review in psychiatric healthcare preferred.
• Current unencumbered clinical license preferred.
• CPR certification and CPI training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitates clinical reviews on patient admissions and continue stays.
• Analyzes patient records to determine legitimacy of admission, treatment, and length of stay.
• Interfaces with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payers.
• Advocates for patients with substance abuse or psychiatric disorders to manage care providers.
• Assists the treatment team with insurance requirements for continued stay and discharge planning.
