Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Utilization Review Coordinator to assess patient records, determine illness severity and appropriateness of level of care. You will serve as liaison with patients, families and insurance providers to optimize length of stay and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population.
• Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Social Work or related field).
• MSN or MSW preferred.
• Licensed Therapist or Social Worker (LPC/LCSW) preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Successfully complete a drug test and pass a national background check.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient medical records to determine illness severity and level of care.
• Serves as liaison for patients and facility with insurance companies.
• Negotiates and advocates for patient length of stay and level of care.
• Coordinates utilization review activities with other departments to ensure reimbursement.
