Job summary

NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals seeks a Utilization Review Coordinator for Medical Behavioral Hospital of Clear Lake to coordinate patient services across the continuum of care, promote effective utilization, monitor resources, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Education required includes a Bachelor's in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or Psychology, with a Master's preferred. Relevant UR and case management experience in hospital settings is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor's degree in behavioral health, social work, counseling, nursing or psychology is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of utilization review experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum 2 years of case management experience including discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Filing documents as needed.
• Initial precertification with payors.
• Concurrent clinical review with payors.
• Document in the electronic system daily in real time.
• Admission audit and ensuring CONs/RONs and CMS certifications are completed.
• Communicate effectively with staff and patients; maintain professional relationships.
