Pathways is seeking a Utilization Manager in Savannah, GA to coordinate Utilization Management for the agency and to train staff on essential documentation such as assessments, treatment planning, and progress notes. You will ensure compliance with guidelines and licensure while handling registrations, authorizations and discharge requests.

The role requires licensed credentials (LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LAPC) and strong written and verbal communication skills, with opportunities to support audits

Qualifications

• Licensed as LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LAPC.
• Ability to train others and communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Experience coordinating Utilization Management activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Utilization Management functions for the agency.
• Train staff on proper documentation, including assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, transition/discharge plans.
• Provide feedback to staff to meet service guidelines and licensure requirements.
• Train staff on submission of Registration, Authorization and Discharge requests.
• Perform Utilization Management reviews and coordinate resolution of pended authorizations.
• Track service utilization and contractual compliance.
• Assist in coordinating external audits and implement corrective action plans.
• Complete regular testing of the electronic medical record functionality.

As our Utilization Manager, you will coordinate Utilization Management functions for the agency.

• Trains staff on proper documentation, including assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, transition/discharge plans
• Provides feedback to staff regarding changes needed in order to meet service guidelines, fidelity review, and licensure requirements
• Trains staff on proper submission of Registration, Authorization and Discharge requests
• Performs Utilization Management reviews, to include On Hold reports, and coordinates resolution of pended authorizations
• Tracks utilization of services and compliance with contractual requirements
• Assists in the coordination of external audits
• Develops and implements any corrective action plans needed
• Completes regular testing of the electronic medical record functionality
