Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a clinical leader for Utilization Management in the Case Management department (11200 Atrium Health Union). This full-time role requires a Master’s degree and an active RN or NP license, plus two years of related nursing experience and strong leadership capabilities.

You will monitor UM metrics, drive process improvements, mentor staff, and collaborate across departments to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Current RN license or temporary RN license as a Registered Nurse Practitioner in the work state; or meet licensure requirements if staying in NLC state.
• Two years of related nursing experience required; five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages Utilization Management development and monitors department goals to align with system strategy.
• Monitors UM program effectiveness, analyzes metrics, reports results, and leads process improvement projects.
• Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports; ensures cross-department collaboration and compliance.
