Job summary

L.A. Care Health Plan in Michigan is seeking a Supervisor of Utilization Management (UM) RN to lead the day-to-day UM operations, ensure staffing and coverage, and drive department metrics. This role supports the UM Manager/Director and serves as SME for care, case, and utilization management.

Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing; California RN license; 7 years acute/clinical care; 2 years in CM/UM; 3 years in supervision. Preferred: Bachelor's in Nursing.

Qualifications

7+ years of acute/clinical care experience.
2+ years in Case/Care/Utilization Management.
3+ years leading process or staff or supervisory experience.
Equivalency: L.A. Care Management Certificate Training may substitute for supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

Staffing and coverage management and completing related documentation.
Monitor productivity and regulatory compliance; coach for improvement.
Develop tools, job aids, and workflows to optimize UM processes.
Complete intermittent and annual staff evaluations.
Lead the daily UM workflow and mentor assigned staff.
Collaborate across teams and participate in committees as assigned.
