Schuff Steel Co. seeks a skilled Utility Yardman to support fabrication and structural projects. The role involves moving steel, loading trucks, banding bundles, and operating forklifts within a safety‑driven yard environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of forklift experience (30,000 lbs+).
• Experience operating cranes, rigging, and forklifts in a metal fabrication setting.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure documents.

Responsibilities

• Move steel out of the shop to keep production on schedule.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers.
• Load and unload paint racks and sandblasting racks.
• Band steel to pallets and bundles using the banding machine.
• Operate forklifts safely and maintain equipment.
• Transport material as needed and keep work areas organized.
• Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
