Utility Worker - Miami Beach Convention Center
The Utility Woker’s role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to janitorial, housekeeping, and event/room set-up tasks, as directed by either the Event Operations Manager, Assistant Event Operations Manager and/or the Event Operations Supervisors. In addition to these core duties, utility workers may be tasked with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in MBCC, ensuring the proper disposal of waste, replenishing cleaning supplies, and promptly addressing any cleanliness-related concerns. They may also collaborate with other team members to support the seamless execution of events, ensuring that venues are set up and arranged according to specified guidelines. The utility worker is expected to contribute to the overall functionality and visual appeal of the facilities they service, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and organized environment.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00-$16.00.

While performing the responsibilities of the Utility Worker, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is constantly required to exert various types of physical exertion, such as prolonged reaching, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
While performing the responsibilities of the Utility Worker, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the Utility Worker will encounter. The Utility Worker works in indoor and outdoor work settings with mild to adverse exposure to environmental hazards. The incumbent must be able to climb stairs and ladders and walk long distances to access all areas of the facility. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to loud. Incumbents in this position work in varying settings and will be subject to noise and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odor, dust, etc.
