Job summary

The Electric Materials Company is seeking an entry level Utility Worker in North East, PA. You will operate and set up machinery to produce components and read blueprints to plan work sequences.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or two to three years related experience or training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up and operate equipment to saw, form, bend, trim , debur, degrease, plate and to perform other ancillary operations. Must be able to read blueprints, to work from drawings, travelers and specifications to plan work in proper operational sequence to produce quality components. Utilize various types of lifting equipment as needed to move and stage material for all operations in department. Must adhere to all Company safety policies and procedures. Assist in training where needed. Other duties will be assigned as required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Operate fork lift truck (will be licensed in accordance with OSHA power industrial truck operator requirements.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Detect quantity discrepancies, defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to proper supervision. Will complete data transactions where necessary. Perform changing lubrication, cleaning and maintenance of equipment when necessary. Will maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times. A working knowledge of all job related Quality Management System operating procedures and work instructions is required.
