Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a capable Utility Worker for Barton College. This part-time role requires night and weekend shifts, with responsibilities across dishwashing and maintaining clean kitchen spaces in a collegial setting.

The position emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards within AVI’s food-service operations.

Qualifications

• Duties include washing dishes and maintaining clean kitchen areas.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, walking and lifting.
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, and pans using a machine or by hand.
• Maintain clean and orderly kitchen work areas and utensils.
• Store clean dishes and cooking equipment properly.
• Assist with receiving product and stock organization as needed.
• Sort and dispose of trash in designated areas; rotate stock as required.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Utility Worker at Barton College, Part-time. Nights and Weekends are required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dish machine or by hand
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
• May be responsible for receiving product from vendors, organize stock
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
• Clean and rotate the walk-in cooler

Requirements:

• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, standard cleaning methods and equipment used in dishwashing work
• Ability to exert continuous physical effort including frequent bending, walking and lifting
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
