Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Utility Worker to support bus operations. You will clean, fuel, and check fluid levels, wash exteriors with power washers, and assist in basic vehicle maintenance under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. This full-time position includes union benefits, paid time off, insurance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience and good record.
• Must be able to work under direct supervision and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean, fuel, and check fluid levels of buses under supervision.
• Wash exterior of vehicles with power washer; sweep and remove trash.
• Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles as needed.
• Log fluids used and refill as required.
• Report maintenance issues to Supervisor.
• Perform light maintenance to shop areas and fueling stations.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• $23.34 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)

Responsibilities:

• Cleans, fuels, and checks fluid levels of buses under direct supervision.
• Washes exterior of vehicles using power washer and brushes; sweeps and removes trash from vehicles.
• Drives, maneuvers, and parks vehicles
• Fuels buses, replenishes fluids, and logs and records all fluids used.
• Downloads drive cameras; probes fare boxes
• Performs light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
• Reports any maintenance issues to Supervisor.
• Other duties as required.

Education, Licensing, and Certifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a minimum of one year of driving experience and a good driving record.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Good oral communication skills
• Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by Material Safety Data Sheets and all other safety training materials provided.
• Ability to learn shop processes including fueling vehicles and cleaning vehicles.
• Ability to mix and use a variety of cleaning products.
• Ability to use a variety of equipment such as buffers, scrubbing machines, and other heavy cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to details
