Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking personnel to perform packaging and material handling duties in a manufacturing setting. You will fill large containers, palletize, label, and secure loads for transport while ensuring accuracy to specifications and reporting any discrepancies to supervision.

Candidates must follow safety rules, wear required PPE, and maintain an orderly workspace. OT including weekends may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to perform manual material handling tasks.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Willingness to work daily and weekend overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Package materials, attach labels, cartons, and identify packages or containers.
• Fill 5- and 55-gallon containers, drums, and pails; perform packaging duties.
• Palletize and secure skids for transport; inspect articles for proper specs.
• Read and change tank readings on compounding board; keep skid counts.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly; notify supervisor when not met.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform numerous and varied duties including packaging materials, filling 5- and 55-gallon containers, drums, and pails
• Palletizing and securing skids for transport
• Visually inspect articles for proper specifications (e.g., code dates, quality of boxes) and notify Supervisor when specifications are not met
• Package materials, attach labels, cartons, and identify packages or containers
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
• Read and change tank readings on compounding board
• Keep records of skid counts for forklift driver
• May be assigned other duties when necessary

Exposure to finished goods materials (flammable and non-flammable). Requires personal protective equipment: flame-resistant uniform, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, aprons, and face shield.

Ability to see, read, distinguish letters and/or symbols; follow directions; perform job duties in accordance with established safety rules.

Candidates must be able to work daily and weekend overtime as needed.
