Job description

UTILITY TECHNICIAN

The Utility Technician is responsible for performing general cleaning, trash removal, and wood breakdown functions within a specific building using Forklift or Cushman equipment.

Job Functions

1. Pick up bagged trash from pre-determined locations on building floors and transport it to the dumpster, compactor, or other designated location using a utility/trash cart, forklift, or truck.
2. Transport trash from a building, which might require the use of a company-provided vehicle.
3. Break down and dispose of wood pallets, crates, and fixtures in proper containers and locations.
4. Maintain clean equipment and wipe down all trash receptacles as needed.
5. Perform other duties as designated by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
6. Note: Job duties may be modified at any time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• May be required to obtain a forklift operator license (provided on site by ABM).
• Ability to read and interpret traffic signs.
• Ability to work with other team members and take direction from a Supervisor.
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job duties.
