Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Utility Worker at our Jackson, MI location. You’ll assist with a variety of tasks to support store operations, customer service, and the overall shopping experience.

Responsibilities include cart retrieval, trash collection, snow removal, handling returns, cleaning, and coordinating with multiple departments. This role requires reliability and a friendly, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a keen sense for details.
• Excellent listening and communication abilities.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment during winter conditions.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Coordinate with service desk, entrance, check lanes, and parking areas.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
