Sodexo USA is seeking a Utility Worker at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, responsible for various cleaning and maintenance tasks. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of sanitation procedures. Open availability is preferred as shifts may vary, and applicants are expected to regularly show up on time for their scheduled shifts.

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes by hand or place them in a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels and cleaning materials.
• Perform significant walking and other mobility tasks.
• Walk or stand for extended periods of time, often exceeding 8 hours.
• Reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
• Attend work and show up on time for scheduled shifts with satisfactory regularity.

$18.75 per hour
