Job summary

California Water Service Group is seeking a Laborer-Construction in Gig Harbor, WA to repair water mains, perform general grounds cleanup, and assist with maintenance. You will handle digging, installing services, meters, and operate valves, while ensuring safety and proper paperwork.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a WA driver’s license, and ability to work after hours for emergencies; water utility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Construction or plumbing experience equivalent to a laborer or apprentice desired.
  • Water utility experience desired.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • First Aid Card required within one year.
  • Able to work after hours for emergency repairs.
  • Familiar with hand tools for digging and wrenches for assembling pipe fittings.
  • Able to drive and back up large trucks and trailers.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.
  • Able to lift heavy and awkward rocks, broken asphalt.
  • Able to work in harsh weather conditions.

Laborer-Construction

Responsible for repairing water mains, performing general cleanup of grounds and facilities, assisting with general maintenance, and other job duties as required.

Essential Functions
  • Installs underground water main line

  • Installs water services and meters

Minimum Qualifications

Salary

Salary range: $24.14 - $44.76 per hour (DOE)
